Dear Second Grade Families,
Welcome to Ms. Nunez’s 2nd grade! I am very excited about being your child’s teacher. First, I want to thank you right from the start for entrusting me with your child’s education. I believe that every child has unique ways of learning, and I am here to help them find the ‘best’ ways to learn.
I am happy to work with Mrs. Dorothy Zajac as my partner teacher again this year. Ms. Zajac will teach our science class once a week.
I will keep you current on 2nd-grade news through the Teacher Page, where a weekly newsletter can be found that will offer upcoming events and activities for second-grade happenings.
Here are a few reminders to keep in mind:
-
The doors to school open at 8:00 am, and the second graders will enter and dismiss through the main entrance (Door #1). The tardy bell will be at 8:10 am. Any student that comes late to school must enter through the main door and report to the school office. At dismissal, there is no sign-out sheet.
-
Students have the option to bring a mask to wear at school.
-
Have your child bring their lunch, snack (separate from their lunch), and a reusable water bottle with them daily. Water bottles will be allowed to be refilled throughout the day. However, students will not be allowed to drink directly from the water fountain.
Once again, welcome to second grade! I look forward to working with you to help your child achieve their fullest potential this school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by email.
We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. It will surely be a fantastic year...Go Bearcats!
Blessings,
Ms. Nunez
